Troy has over thirty-five years of combined experience in electrical accident investigations, electrical equipment failure analysis, electrical fire cause determination, lightning damage investigations, electrical workplace safety, storm recovery and restoration, safety manual review and/or preparation, OSHA safety compliance and electrical safety training.  He has performed approximately 2,000 forensic investigations and testified as expert witness in multiple jurisdictions in state and federal courts.

Direct utility experience includes 18 years engineering and operations management at two regional electric utilities.

 

Education:  Mississippi State University, B.S., Electrical Engineering, 1986

  • Registered Professional Engineer:  Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas. 

  • Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator

  • NESC Subcommittee Member (SC-4, SC-8, Interpretations)
